Dear Friends
Easter, the time of the year in our church life, and in our spiritual life, when explanations and fine words fail us; when awe and wonder and imagination fire our beings. When faced with the resurrection story we are humbled into silence.
Darkness makes way for light, winter rolls to spring; endings become beginnings, walls become doors, even the stones shout alleluia!
These fine words, written by the Iona Community, are an excellent reminder of all that is contained within the Easter story.
Holy week takes us on a roller-coaster journey, from shouting Hosanna to singing Hallelujah! And yet there is so much that happens in between that it is almost too big for our minds and imaginations to capture.
